Designing
for the people

I am a communication design professional that specializes in social-profit brand communications and design. I hold a Bachelor of Design degree from the Emily Carr University of Art & Design and have worked in a variety of design communication environments across two continents. I am a highly versatile designer with experience across a broad range of design disciplines including brand management, creative strategies, conceptual development, art direction, print design & layout, logo ideation, environmental graphics, web & digital design, and artwork production.

I believe that effective design should be integral to all forms of visual communications. How we communicate visually is as important as what is being said or written. Design is not window dressing but a functional process that helps people engage with content. The assertion that 90% of how we communicate is through non-verbal means rings true for how we communicate through our visual collateral. A strong, well-executed visual tone and concept will enable greater success in engagement, retention, and messaging.

Through the years I have found that successful results have always benefitted from true collaboration with partners, clients, and suppliers. My diverse experiences provides me insight on how to efficiently manage all sides of a project; from consultation and strategy to design implementation and vendor management. Industries that I have worked with and hope to continue to be involved in include social/non-profits, corporate communications, book publication, education, hospitality, and government.
